Let's say I do two things everyday. Read IEEE specification documents and develop websites using AI.
I love developing websites using AI. I've gone on 13 hour benders where I start at noon and go until 3am before I have to talk myself into stopping and going to sleep so I don't completely mess up my schedule.
Whereas I hate reading IEEE specification documents. I could maybe read for 30 minutes with several minute long zone outs before I give up and do something else.
So you could say I am motivated to develop websites using AI and I am unmotivated to read IEEE specification documents. This motivation drives me to spend more time on the activity and stay actively engaged with the activity, thus increasing my productivity.
Just doing something every day, doesn't guarantee productivity. If you read IEEE specification documents for 30 minutes everyday but are only actively engaged for 10 minutes of that time, then you are wasting 20 minutes a day.
That is why it is important to only engage in activities that you are motivated to do. Every thing on Earth gets 24 hours a day, so it's important to use that time productively.
